Amateur Theatre in Blackmore.

Blackmore Players is a community theatre group which was formed in 1969. Since then, it has been entertaining the people of Blackmore and the surrounding area with a large variety of high quality productions, including pantomime, musical shows, revues and plays.

The group is fortunate to be able to rehearse and perform in Blackmore Village Hall, with full staging, sound and where needed, live bands and musicians. The group’s usual schedule is a pantomime in January, a musical show in summer and a play in autumn.

There’s a lot more to being a member of a theatre group than just acting, singing and (sometimes) dancing on stage. So much Is involved in putting on a production
and there are plenty of opportunities backstage - helping with lighting, sound, directing, costumes, make-up and set building and design. Indeed, all members of the cast and production team are vitally important to the smooth and successful running of each show.

We pride ourselves on the incredibly friendly and inclusive atmosphere within the group and we welcome all members of the community.
