I must start this by saying that this was one of the best Panto's that I have seen this season. How can one review a show that is seen by many as an opportunity to be great fun for the cast and a knockabout for the kids, or is that the adults and it doesn't matter if you don't know your lines? This Panto was the opposite of that, professional and entertaining, the cast enjoyed themselves, so did the audience and there was a lot of interaction between both.
The musical numbers selected were very appropriate for the scenes they were set in (a pity they weren't listed in the programme, so useful when writing up a review!), the chorus singing was enthusiastic as was the choreography, even the junior members who were well used.

In a Panto as good as this it is unfair to single out characters so a well done to all the principals, who played all their roles well and what a change to see the principal character Dick Whittington played by a man instead of the traditional lady. The sets, costume and make up were good, and some one spent a lot of time on the Dames costumes. Congratulations to the director for producing a good pantomime.
